Current Practice
Yakitta uses an eclectic styled therapeutic approach focusing in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, solution-focused, and being present with her clients to assist them in achieving their goals. She provides family, individual, couple, and group counseling to all populations. She holds true in believing that at some point in our lives, we all need someone to collaborate with us and walk through this journey that is full of valley’s and mountains.
Yakitta supervises pre-licensed therapists towards their licensure and trained intern therapists.

Yakitta is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC.0013563). She received her Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Certificate in Christian Counseling from Nazarene Bible College. In addition, she is in the process of completing requirements as a Licensed Addiction Counselor.
