Mission

C4VL is dedicated to providing accessible, insurance-based mental health care to diverse clients across Colorado, with a focus on underserved and underrepresented populations. We serve individuals aged 3 and up, using anti-racist, neurodivergent-affirming, and queer-allied principles to create a powerfully reparative and healing environment. Our providers continuously hone their clinical expertise, helping clients develop self-awareness, emotional resilience, and meaningful connections in a nonjudgmental space. Through a collaborative team approach, we aim to positively impact clients' holistic well-being and equip them with skills for lasting success in their personal and professional lives.

Nurturing and Safe

As licensed mental health practitioners who are deeply invested in our clients' progress, we are committed to creating a safe, nurturing environment. We practice with the philosophy that creative collaboration is the best approach to therapy.

Promoting Overall Wellness

The foundation of our practice is promoting overall wellness. Growth, acceptance, and self-discovery are core components of treatment. By attending to mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health, we work toward balance, wholeness, and serenity.

Multiculturally Sensitive

Practicing with compassion and appropriate humor, we build strong therapeutic bonds with clients of all ages and backgrounds. Our therapists are trained in multicultural sensitivity and understand how multiple identities influence experience and self-perception.

Training includes counseling across race, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, ability, health, socioeconomic status, education level, and more.

Focus on Client Values & Behavioral Change

We support clients in making behavioral changes aligned with their values to move toward a more vital, meaningful, and purposeful life. We also help clients identify and express emotions clearly to improve honest, validating communication and relationships.

Client Advocacy

We are passionate advocates for our clients and contribute to society through our work. We connect clients with community resources as needed and strive to provide the highest standard of care.

Values

What “valued living” means—and how we help you move toward it.

What are Values?

Values are the beliefs and principles that guide how we want to exist in the world. They reflect what makes life meaningful according to our own standards—not what others tell us we should do.

Defining your values helps clarify how you want to live, relate, and make choices day-to-day.

What is Valued Living?

Valued living means committing to actions in service of your values. Values are a direction to move in—not a single destination or goal. For example, “being healthy” is ongoing; completing a race is a goal along the way.

How Do We Live a More Valued Life?

We start by defining our most important values. Then we make conscious choices that move us toward them. The more intentional our choices, the closer we come to living in alignment with what matters most.

How We Help

  • Clarify core values and personal vision
  • Set values-based goals and commitments
  • Develop skills for emotion regulation and resilience
  • Strengthen relationships and communication
  • Build sustainable habits that reflect your values
