Current Practice

Lisa Griffiths, PsyD conducts comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluates the results in order to provide workable suggestions towards improving her clients' lives. She receives referrals from occupational medicine doctors, physiatrists, bariatric surgeons, general practice doctors for both adults and children, prescribing providers, other mental health providers, attorneys, and community advocates who are seeing her expertise and thorough approach in her evaluations. She uses a healthy mix of professionalism, humor, and compassion when engaging with her clients and this sets the tone for her clients to feel at ease right away. See below for the type of evaluations she conducts.

Dr. Griffiths is a CO Division trained provider in Workers Compensation and she leads a team of several Masters level mental health therapists who are also trained to work with Workers Compensation cases (providing results-focused counseling). Her contract with the CO Department of Vocational Rehabilitation enables her to assist the DVR counselors in determining the best possible work scenarios for their clients. She also has a contract with the CO Division of Disability Determination Services, the arm of the CO Social Security Administration, and conducts disability evaluations on their behalf; she does not schedule these appointments as they are assigned by SSA. If you have a disability claim for SSA, please contact your SSA examiner to schedule your evaluation.

Please note, Dr. Griffiths does not do Child and Family Investigator (CFI), Parental Responsibilities Evaluator (PRE), or other evaluations on parenting, custody, or family issues.

Dr. Griffiths spent the first 10 years of her career as a psychologist doing talk therapy with her clients. She is now using that skill set, for which she still has a great passion, to help other professionals early in their career become better therapists through clinical supervision. Using an ACT framework, she helps the LPCCs whom she supervises with navigating the amazing (and challenging) world of being a therapist.
