Current Practice

She believes in empowering her clients and utilizes person-centered treatment as the basis for all therapy. She believes that finding out from clients what their goals and challenges are, as well as identifying the client as the expert in their lives, is a critical component of the therapeutic process. Additionally, she is certified in EMDR, specializes in motivational interviewing, and uses cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and solution focused techniques to inform her practice.

Kacy supervises pre-licensed therapists towards their licensure and trained intern therapists.

Kacy is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC.0013833) and a Licensed Addiction Counselor (ACD.0000857). She earned her Master's in counseling psychology from the University of Colorado- Denver. She also holds a Bachelor's Degree in psychology from Colorado State University. Additionally, she is a certified EMDR therapist.
