Current Practice
"Lina Parks, MA LPCC, is a compassionate and experienced therapist specializing in work with children and adolescents, but with experience in a wide range of ages and developmental stages. With a strong foundation in neurodiverse-affirming and strengths-based approaches, Lina is committed to supporting young people in discovering and embracing their unique abilities, while fostering resilience, emotional regulation, and self-understanding.
Believing that every child deserves to be seen and supported as their authentic self, Lina creates a safe, inclusive, and playful therapeutic environment. Through the integration of play, art-based interventions, talk therapy, and developmentally appropriate techniques, she helps clients express themselves in ways that feel natural and empowering.
Whether supporting children with autism, ADHD, anxiety, or other developmental and emotional challenges, Lina works collaboratively with families and caregivers to nurture growth and connection, while also honoring the childs natural autonomy. Her approach emphasizes building on what’s strong—not just what’s “wrong”—and honoring each child’s inner world, creativity, and voice.
Lina holds a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the University of Denver, as well as a Bachelors of Science in Psychology, with double minors in Human Development & Family Science and Conflict Analysis & Trauma Studies from Kansas State University. She has completed additional training in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and sought out specilized knowledge in Acceptance and Committment Therapy, Human Sexuality, and Multicultural Counseling. She is dedicated to ongoing learning and advocacy for inclusive, affirming mental health care for all children and adults."
