Britten is a dedicated therapist with a passion for helping adolescents, individual adults and couples. Individuals navigate trauma, attachment issues, mood disorders and other challenges. With a deep understanding of the impact of mental health challenges, Britten believes in a collaborative and client-centered approach, tailoring interventions to meet each client's unique needs. Britten draws from various therapeutic modalities, including DBT and ACT, to ensure a personalized and effective therapeutic experience.

Britten takes a collaborative and client-centered approach, believing that individuals are the experts of their own experiences. Her role is to facilitate exploration, provide support, and offer evidence-based interventions tailored to each client's unique needs. Together, Britten and her clients delve into the underlying causes of their challenges, develop effective coping strategies, and nurture strengths with inner resources. With a destigmatizing and trauma-informed approach, Britten recognizes each client's unique experiences and resilience. With a professional background in working with individuals experiencing substance use disorders and eating disorders, Britten brings a comprehensive skill set and a deep understanding of the complexities of mental health.
Cultural competency, anti-racism, and gender-affirming care are foundational principles for Britten, who recognizes the importance of honoring and understanding diverse cultural backgrounds, experiences, and identities. Britten is committed to ongoing education and reflection to deepen their understanding of systemic inequalities and to challenge any biases that may hinder the therapeutic process.
Outside of their professional life, Britten enjoys reading, writing, spending time in nature, and attending live music and comedy shows. These activities help Britten find balance and connection, which they believe are foundational to a well-lived life.
