Protective Partners: Supporting Our Partners Who Have Suffered a Trauma

Has your partner suffered from a trauma which somehow has begun to take its toll on your relationship? Perhaps your partner has been physically or sexually abused and it affects your sex life or how you communicate with each other. Or perhaps your partner is afraid to drive after a car accident and that leaves you overwhelmed with responsibility. But you love your partner and you want to help him/her through it. You want to be supportive but you are unsure how. In this group, participants will share how they cope with their partner's trauma, provide feedback on how to be an effective and loving partner, and how to take care of yourself in the process as well.

Women's Dating Discussion Group

Have you noticed that you seem to fall into the same relationship patterns time after time? You know something is amiss and that you are the common denominator but you cannot figure out how to break free from the cycle of dating the same kind of person over and over. If this sounds like you, this group is perfect for you. In this group, women will discuss their relationship patterns, identifying what has gone wrong in the past and how they can make different choices for their future relationships. They will learn to become more assertive and self-preserving, cultivating the most important relationship of all -- with oneself. While this group is designated for women only, straight, lesbian, and bisexual women are all welcome to participate.
