In order for us to care for our mental health, we must first be willing to take care of our self. Rasheem believes that practicing mental health self-care and implementing daily cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) strategies and techniques improve a person’s overall mental and physical well-being. Through personal experience, he has learned the importance of addressing mental illness, which motivated him to help others learn how to become efficient in coping with normal stressors, decrease symptoms of disorders, build and maintain healthy relationships, make good decisions, and be a high-functioning member of society. Rasheem's background in cultural diversity and dealings with all populations has proven that not only is everyone unique, but also has the capability to discover their inner strengths, resilience, ability to cope, and navigate positively and effectively across all aspects of life. Together we will focus on challenging and changing negative thoughts, attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors, with an end result of witnessing the joy of experiencing the quality of life!
