She utilizes several modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, emotionally focused therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, motivational interviewing, as well as systems theory, which helps with depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, etc. Hannah typically uses cognitive-behavioral approaches (CBT) to pinpoint a person's daily experience; bring out the truth in those experiences; and collaborate with the client to highlight a new way of thinking and behaving. Empowering the client to assume responsibility for the things that are in their control and let go of the things that are not in their control is part of that process. Another treatment approach she uses is emotional-focused therapy (EFT) to dig into the crux of human experience: emotional connections, with the self and others.
