Current Practice

Healing Through Play Therapy

Parents can receive coaching/support and can be included in sessions with their child. Andrea uses a play therapy method called Experiential Play Therapy (EPT) and uses Internal Family Systems (IFS) as appropriate. Play for children is essential to their growth, development, learning, and cultivating relationships.

Research shows that play therapy is an effective treatment approach. During play therapy sessions, children process their thoughts and feelings and are more able to communicate their inner world through the language of play. Furthermore, parents/caregivers who partner with Andrea are empowered to make shifts that are helpful to their child and the whole family. The healing journey is an honor for Andrea to go on with her clients.
