Madeleine Veith, LSW
(Denver / Teletherapy)

“Hope is a team sport.” – KJ Ramsey Whether you're navigating overwhelming emotions, recovering from stressful events, figuring out your next steps, or parenting a child who just feels everything, I want you to know: you don’t have to do it alone. I believe deeply in the power of relationships and the healing that happens when we sit together—honest, curious, sometimes laughing, sometimes tearful—and co-create space for what you’re carrying. Hope is something that can feel unreachable when we’re in it alone, which is why I want to be on your team, holding hope for you when you cannot yet hold it for yourself. I’m Madeleine Veith (she/her), a Licensed Social Worker passionate about helping people feel seen, understood, and empowered. I work with clients ages 3 through 55, including neurodivergent folks (ADHD, autism), those who’ve experienced challenges/stress, and individuals navigating anxiety, depression, perfectionism, and major life transitions. My approach is rooted in compassion and collaboration, always adapting to the unique needs and energy of each client. I have experience working with individuals, couples, and families, drawing from varied professional experiences in therapy rooms, school systems, and nonprofits. With kids and teens, I engage in therapy through talking, playing, and somatic work (exploring how we feel things in our bodies). If we need to color while discussing worries, act out difficult dynamics with stuffed animals, or compete in a silly game of Uno—I'm all in. Therapy for children isn’t about behavior management; it’s about giving them a safe, joyful place to express themselves and build skills for hope, healing, and resilience. I help children process big emotions, increase distress tolerance, and support the adults in their lives to understand their behavior through a developmental and sensory-informed lens. Middle schoolers often tell me that I get it—and that I have a funny laugh (a compliment, I think?). Teens know they can trust me to be honest and supportive, offering space and guidance without judgment. With adults, my work often centers around self-exploration, anxiety, identity, burnout, and navigating complex transitions. Whether you feel stuck, overwhelmed by self-doubt, or unsure what comes next, I offer a steady presence and a space where you can reconnect to yourself. My therapeutic style combines warmth, humor, and directness. I’ll be real with you—and root for you all the way. We’ll explore where you’ve been, what stories you carry, and what might shift when you hold those stories with greater compassion. I integrate several therapeutic modalities based on your needs. I regularly use Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Narrative Therapy. IFS is a powerful way to explore the different “parts” of ourselves—like the inner critic, the avoider, or the protector—and learn how to relate to them with understanding rather than shame. CBT helps us unpack the thoughts and behaviors that are no longer serving us, while Narrative Therapy invites us to reauthor the stories we tell ourselves with curiosity, empowerment, and grace. Whether we’re talking through things, tuning into your body, or reflecting on patterns, I want to help you live a life that feels more whole and aligned. I’m especially passionate about working with neurodivergent individuals who want to make life more accessible, meaningful, and joyful. Together, we’ll challenge internalized ableism, explore self-regulation tools that actually work for you, and build a life that honors your unique needs and brilliance. Therapy with me starts with relationship. I connect with clients through warmth, humor, curiosity, and deep respect. I want you to feel that this space is truly yours—a place where you can say the things you've been holding in, explore hard questions, and feel delighted in, just as you are. My clients have described me as grounding, dynamic, and someone who brings both gentleness and realness. I’m not afraid to ask tough questions, and I’ll also celebrate your wins (big and small) like they’re my own. Cultural humility is essential to this work. As a white, cisgender, large-bodied woman, I acknowledge the privilege I carry and the responsibility to continuously examine how that shapes my lens. I practice from an anti-racist, gender-affirming, and Health at Every Size (HAES) approach. This means listening deeply, seeking out continued education, and showing up in ways that resist harm and affirm each client’s identity and autonomy. I believe people when they tell me who they are, and I want all of my clients to know they are safe to explore, evolve, and just be with me. Before becoming a therapist, I studied public health, drawn to systems of care and what makes communities thrive. But I realized my heart was in the individual stories—in sitting with people in the thick of things and helping them make sense of their experiences. I’ve worked with people who’ve lost everything in home fires, supported students from preschool to high school with emotional and social needs, and walked alongside adults navigating loss, conflict, and rebuilding after major life changes. These experiences have grounded me in the belief that resilience and tenderness can coexist, and that people deserve to be deeply seen. Outside the therapy room, you can find me tending to my garden, reading, laughing over coffee with friends, or attempting new crafts (some more successfully than others). I love volleyball, indirect light through big windows, and sharing meals with loved ones that nourish both body and heart. Therapy works because it creates a space where you can be fully yourself—without performance, without shame. I’ve seen it change lives, including my own. I will show up for you with compassion, consistency, and belief in your capacity to grow. We’ll set goals together and revisit them often, not with pressure, but with curiosity: What’s working? What’s hard? What’s next? This isn’t a one-size-fits-all journey—it’s yours. And I’ll be here, week after week, to hold space for that journey. If you’re looking for a therapist who will sit with you in the hard, cheer you on, challenge what needs challenging, and always see your humanity—I’d love to connect. Madeleine Veith is a LSW. She sees clients in-person in Denver, CO, and can see teens/adults via telehealth in the state of Colorado on weekdays and some evenings. She is supervised by Narelli ""Nelli"" Taylor, LCSW."

Empowering the client to assume responsibility for the things that are in their control and let go of the things that are not in their control is part of that process.
