Current Practice

Iris was born in Myanmar (Burma), but grew up and spent most of her life in Southern California. At a young age, Iris knew she was going to pursue a career in working with others. In the early parts of her journey, she volunteered as a teacher assistant and daycare provider. These pursuits emboldened her commitment to the people around her and set her on the path she resides on to this day. Iris has a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree from the University of Northern Colorado. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Colorado. She has applied her own cultural background, education, and experiences with trauma-informed care to create her own unique philosophy on helping others; the main pillar of that philosophy being self-awareness. Iris believes heavily in raising self-awareness as it promotes a clear understanding of one's own strengths, thoughts, emotions, and core beliefs.
