Current Practice
As a therapist, Alexa's goal is to help clients identify their objectives and work through behaviors that hinder achieving those goals. Together, she and her clients can establish a personalized plan to help them gain the tools to resolve challenges in a healthy and effective manner.
Alexa's therapeutic approaches and techniques are tailored to each individual; clients aren’t "cut and paste," and neither are her methods of practice. She approaches her clients with honesty and directness, believing this helps establish mutual respect and trust.
Outside of work and school, Alexa enjoys being outdoors and traveling with her fiancé and dog. She finds reading on her deck in a rocking chair to be the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of life. She also indulges in Netflix and HBO every once in a while.
Alexa looks forward to working with clients in support of their personal journey and growth.
Alexa is a Masters of Social Work Intern from Grand Canyon University. She is supervised by Lauren Shelton, LCSW, LAC, and sees clients via telehealth and in-person in Denver, CO.
