Dorothy R. Sanchez is a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with children, adolescents, couples, families, older adults and individuals.
In her practice, Dorothy continues to provide exceptional mental health services which are individualized and culturally sensitive. Through both short and long-term therapy, she works collaboratively with clients to identify strengths which can improve their mental/emotional well-being and lead to happier, healthier, and more productive lives.

While pursuing her master’s degree in counseling, Dorothy discovered she had a love and passion for working with the older adult population. As a result, she has spent several years helping seniors adjust to the aging process while encouraging them to develop positive coping skills which enable successful aging. In addition, Dorothy has expanded her experience by working with teens experiencing difficulties due to severe emotional and behavioral disorders.
Dorothy is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado (#1784). She earned a Master’s in Social Agency Counseling from the University of Dayton in 1995. Dorothy went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree in Gerontology from Ashford University in 2013. Prior to this, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications degree in 1989 from Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
