After obtaining a master’s degree in counseling, Dorothy discovered she had a love and passion for working with a variety of diverse clients. Due to training and experience, Dorothy specializes in depressive disorders, parent/child conflicts, caregiver stress, couples/marriage counseling, grief/loss issues and trauma associated with sexual abuse. Dorothy’s approach involves helping others identify their strengths, recognize negative thinking patters, and obtain real healing by learning to love and accept one’s self. Dorothy’s main belief is that, with unconditional love and support, things CAN get better.

Dorothy is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado (#1784). She earned a Master’s in social agency counseling from the University of Dayton in 1995. Dorothy went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree in gerontology from Ashford University in 2013. Prior to this, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications degree in 1989 from Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
